Rugby is not just for Australian's....Minnetonka is undefeated so far!!!

Dear Lerhol Family and Friends:

Rugby is a crazy sport that I absolutely do not understand...it is rough, the rules are difficult to understand but yet it is gaining great momentum here in the United States for both boys and girls.

The team setting up for a scrum...Sondre, Zach and Austin.
Look at Sondre's intensity.  YIKES!!!

Sondre is number 21; he is being hoisted in the "line-out"

Another line-out.  This is where his height and arm span come in handy.

This is a Rugby Ruck

This is the team huddle after winning the game (Minnetonka 10- Edina 3)

A big smile after a big win!
We have a number of big events coming up:  Alex's graduation from college is next weekend and then getting ready for Prom.  More to come in future blogs on those events.

Happy Spring!!!

FLORIDA (Vanderbilt Beach and Universal Studio's)

Dear Lerhol Family and Friends:
Well yet another successful trip to Florida.  We had just a great time. Here is our routine:
Vanderbilt Beach:
Get up, go for a walk (or run), enjoy some time on the beach, grill a scrumptious dinner with great friends, watch a beautiful sunset and go to bed.  We may have had a few refreshing beverages too. (The over 21 crowd anyway.)

Brothers from a different Mother....the girls were swarming around our condo.
God Bless America...and the American and Norwegian sons

This is NOT where we stayed
The Pelican's on the beach...so fun to watch.

Here they are again...

Golfing...look out Phil Mickleson
 A little water football

 Is this an Abercrombie advertisement?
Dinner in Naples with the gang
A little fun on the water

One of Scott's creative pictures

Deep Sea Fishing....you should see the one that got away.

"Speak"
Getting on the para sailing boat

 On the boat
Up, up and away.

 Getting dipped in the water

One of our great dinners

Our last sunset before we headed to Orlando

Repeat for six more days. (Sprinkle in a pontoon ride, para-sailing, fishing trip and golf)

Universal Studios
Now that was a fun two days.  It was especially fun to watch Sondre enjoy it.  He loved the rides and the themed events (Harry Potter was AMAZING). The best way to describe it is with these pictures.

Day One at Universal Studios
Don't look behind you boys...there is a great big creature

The only people at the park taller than the three stooges (Zach is Alex's Football buddy)

Whoville (and they wonder why the girls were not falling all over them???/)
 Harry Potter ...for you Synne

Look out...there is a train behind you.

Super scary ride (Alex "barfed" after the ride)

Miscellaneous stuff: (Rugby, Prom and graduation)
Tomorrow Minnetonka heads to Duluth for a game.  I have not been able to make it to a game yet, but hope to experience Rugby soon.
Sondre is going to Prom so he will have to get his tuxedo ordered this week.  I am not too sure of the details but we will keep you posted.
Graduation and graduation parties are upon us an Sondre is just about 9 weeks away from returning to Norway.  Where did the time go?
Lots of Love,
Alix and Scott

Happy Easter to our Norwegian Family and Friends

Dear Lerhol Family and Friends:

For the last ten days Sondre’s best friends from Norway, were in Minnesota for a visit.  They were exceptionally easy guests.  Seriously!   They are welcome back anytime, especially if they bring more Norwegian chocolate along.
While they were here they experienced a number of things, including:
·   Dinner at Spasso…a local eatery that serves wonderful food and provides great ambience.  They got to meet Courtney, Ryan, Amelia and new baby Maxwell.

·   A trip to Minnetonka High School with Sondre.  One morning, while Sondre was still in school, the boys went to school with him.  When I asked them how it went, they said, “It is very big.”  I then asked if there were any cute girls there, and the both responded with a big “YES”.

·   Shopping.  They supported the local economy by shopping at the Mall of America, Ridgedale, Apple Store, Uptown, Albertville, and the local grocery stores.

·   Scott, and the boys attended a Minnesota Timberwolves (Basketball)  game…not a great game, but fun anyway.

·   They saw a couple of movies while they were here.  One of them was at the IMAX in the West End.

·   Burgers at the Snuffy’s…eat your heart out Knut.

·   They got a lot of exercise.  They ran and rode bikes and they “slept in” a bit too.
·   They saw the Wild win in a shoot-out.

They had a picnic at Fort Snelling....

All and all, I would say they had a successful trip to the US; we sure enjoyed having them.
Tomorrow morning we leave for a week of relaxing in Florida…fun, fun, fun with the Paulson's, Stewarts and Lieb's.
Sondre has been practicing his golf game so he can golf with everyone in Florida.  He is strong, but needs a little more work on his technique.  :)

We will post pictures from Vanderbilt Beach AND Disneyland.
Happy Easter all,
Love from Scott and Alix.
